It’s one of common and ordinary things in everyday life but, thinking of a sublime beauty of sky.
48 x 35 x 2(in)
I create abstracted documentation of the sublime beauty of unique skies using imagery and glass. I redevelop these images by carefully sifting on many layers of colored glass powders.
This process allows me to express the unpredictable emotions of our life. These works reveal the duality of weakness and strength inherent reflected within glass and within each of us.

I've walked out from my studio every day; Browsing and capturing sky at the same place, steps, directions, and time.
With my documentation, I tried to describe as same as possible "seeing" what I was looking at emotionally.

Accumulating sky images from people and documenting myself.
When I took the picture of the sky, it reminds me "sence of place" and "cadence of the sky" from that experiences; this is ongoing work since 2015.

Living as a foreigner in the states; it always allows me to think of my home country. I'm here but my family and friends are away from me; however, we exist at the same time, even though there's the time difference.
I took half of the sky imagery in this piece at Rochester, NY; friends in Korea took the other half of them at the same time.
